Ohio, Columbus, 43085 Columbus USAAston Carter is working with a client in the Columbus, OH area who is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their team!Description: Update, verify, change, and complete purchase requisitions (buy reports or purchasing requests) by comparing items requested to actual demand, minimum requirements and usage trend. Obtain quotes from vendors/suppliers. Resolve invoice and shipping discrepancy issues with vendors. Work closely with accounting and shipping department to resolve issues. Complete weekly or daily assigned reports, e.g., Cost Change, Unacknowledged, Open PO, Stock Analysis, etc. Help maintain system costs in P21.Additional Skills & Qualifications: Attention to detail: accurate data entry skills, basic math & reading skills. Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Intermediate level Microsoft Excel experience Preferred: 6+ months purchasing experience. Experience in distribution or manufacturing environment Desired characteristics: Demonstrated teamwork, productivity, accuracy, and professionalism.
