Snowflake Administrator
Ohio, Columbus, 43085 Columbus USADescription Summary:Huntington Bank is seeking an entry-level Snowflake Administrator to support the Enterprise Data Warehouse Platform Administration team. In this role, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in managing and maintaining our Snowflake cloud data warehouse. You will be helping ensure optimal performance and partnering with our internal teams to grow our solution across the enterprise.If you enjoy being a part of a highly collaborative group of creative problem solvers, this role is for you!Duties & Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Snowflake cloud data warehouse solutions that meet internal project requirements.
Monitor Snowflake performance and tune for optimal storage & processing utilization
Provides technical and consultative support to partnering teams
Administer and maintain Snowflake users and role permissions
Develop solutions to remediate Security and Regulatory requirements
Identify automation opportunities for internal processes and procedures
Provide operational support for system access and availability
Author and maintain internal documentation
Stay up-to-date on the latest Snowflake features and best practices
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in database administration
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Snowflake cloud data platform, including the creation of create tables, views and tasks. new databases, new schema and data sharing
Experience troubleshooting authentication and access related issues
Experience with SQL Programing, PL/SQL, Python, and Stored Procedures
Experience implementing user and role privileges using RBAC model
Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, administration, and performance optimization
Understanding of Snowflake Internals and integration of Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies
Knowledge of Snowflake security features including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secured views etc.
Knowledge of Data Warehouses, sizing, ETL architecture and best practices
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong data analytical skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize them
Experience working in a consumer-centric company, partnering with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Experience with federated authentication SSO, SAML, oAuth, MFA
Experience with ETL/transformational data tools
Experience with ServiceNow
SnowPro Core certification
Experience in Financial Services or another regulated industry
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
