Quality Engineer

Description:Engage in quality planning activities for new programs, with a special emphasis on supplied materials and components. Work closely with suppliers and production teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality plans, conducting process audits, and identifying areas for improvement. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality standards are met during the development and launch of new products. Coordinate with purchasing / manufacturing on supplier quality issues Oversee supplier MRB and corrective action process. Maintain supplier quality metrics Assist in preparing sampling plans, FMEAs, control plans Develop test methods and related procedures Conduct and/or oversee product testing during product development and into production Conduct training with Quality Technicians as required Maintain test records (electronic and hard copy) for easy retrieval Perform detailed data analysis and prepare reports Support customer-specific requests including, but not limited to, testing, product certs (COC) and related test dataSkills:Quality engineering, Iso 9001, pfmea, asq certified, Supplier qualityTop Skills Details:Quality engineering,Iso 9001,pfmea,asq certifiedAdditional Skills & Qualifications: 5 plus years as a Quality Engineer Bachelor's in Mechanical (if no degree then 7 plus years of Quality Engineering) ASQ CQE certification or equivalent experience Knowledge and experience with ISO-9000 Quality Management Standards Experience with Gage R&R PFMEA Experience with statistical software such as SQC Pack or Minitab® Open to industry experience from Manufacturing, Automotive or Medical Device Nice to haves- Proficient in measurement, inspection and testing methods, calibration DOD- familiarity with government contracts Chemical Engineer or BiochemistExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
