JAVA Technical Project Manager

Cognizant is seeking aJAVA Technical Project Manager with strong hands-on experience to join our team.

Role: JAVA Technical Project Manager/Senior Lead with strong experience in leading/handling teams (mandatory).

Location: We are ideally looking for candidates in and around Columbus OH, but REMOTE candidates are being considered as well.

Roles & Responsibilities:

JAVA Technical Project Manager/Senior Lead with strong experience in leading/handling teams (mandatory).

10+ years of experience

You will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to closure.

This includes defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, developing project plans, allocating resources, managing project budgets, and ensuring timely delivery.

You will also be responsible for managing project risks, issues, and dependencies, and communicating project status and progress to stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project execution. Good knowledge on basics of programming and OOPS concepts

Good knowledge on Web applications

Good knowledge on event handlers and delegates

Good knowledge on working with Spring SQL Javascript

Good knowledge on working with REST Unit testing with JUnit

Good communication skills

Ability to work independently with client on day-to-day tasks and deliverables.

Good troubleshooting skills and should help team member technically.

Good root cause analyzing skills

Good knowledge on the metrics impacting code quality and how to improve them.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between 100,000/year - $130,000/year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
