Payroll Compliance Specialist
Ohio, Cincinnati, 45201 Cincinnati USADescription We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Compliance Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The primary purpose of the role is to review and verify Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) and related documents for construction projects to ensure compliance with various labor regulations. The Payroll Compliance Specialist will also track changes to labor regulations and help develop labor compliance policies and procedures.Responsibilities: Review and verify Certified Payroll Records, fringe benefit statements, training contributions, and apprenticeship documents to ascertain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Facilitate the accurate reporting of prevailing wages, fringe benefits, apprentice utilization, and resolution of employee wage violations. Communicate with contractors to resolve discrepancies/inadequacies relative to compliance issues. Track changes and updates to state and federal labor compliance and prevailing wage regulations and standards; apply these changes/updates to our labor compliance procedures and practices. Assist in the development of labor compliance policies, procedures, form templates, and instructional/operations manuals. Prepare monthly reports to summarize review findings. Present labor compliance requirements at pre-bid and pre-construction meetings. Ensure projects achieve compliance with applicable apprentice requirements. Monitor apprenticeship programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local agencies regulations. Requirements Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a payroll compliance role and MUST have experience with LCP tracker software. Have a strong understanding and experience with Certified Payroll Proficient in conducting audits related to payroll compliance Have experience and knowledge in managing multi-state payroll Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with payroll software and related technology Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations and laws at federal, state, and local levels.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
