Reporting to the Director, Global Regional Protective Services, the Protective Services Associate Director for the Americas is a full-time role, responsible for providing security risk management, including physical security risk management, personal/travel security, crisis management, risk mitigation, investigative services, behavioral threat assessment, event security, security systems guidance, identification of local/global incidents that impact Accenture, the coordination of notification messages to employees, geo-political threat monitoring (regional/global), threat/risk identification and analysis, security vendor management, security training, and budget development.This role will assist in providing strategic leadership of a corporate security program in a complicated corporate environment that values collaboration, independent thinking, proactive problem-solving, integrity, collegiality, efficiency, and continuous organizational transformation. This role is expected to develop a close collaborative relationship with Accenture’s Business, IT, Cyber Security, Legal, Travel, Workplace, and HR leaders, as well as with domestic and foreign law enforcement and diplomatic and intelligence services.The incumbent is required to apply deep security skills to deliver a wide variety of innovations, systems, applications, and assets which we design, implement, and operate to provide industry tailored, end-to-end security services that enable Accenture and our clients to build resilience. This role is responsible for identification and management of corporate risks in areas of people safety, reputational risk, and information and property loss or compromise, including defining and reviewing the policy and processes on a periodic basis in accordance with the defined roadmap. The role requires:

Proactive identification, definition and solving of complex problems that have impact on the direction of the business or work effort.

Development and execution of strategy to achieve key business objectives in area of responsibility.

Interaction with senior management for clients and/or Accenture, involving negotiation or influencing on critical matters. Wide latitude in decision-making and determination of objectives and approaches to critical assignments.

The incumbent will be aligned to a location in the US in compliance with Accenture's location policy. They will provide oversight to North America and Latin America Regional Protective Services, amongst other global responsibilities; they are required to be flexible and be available on call (24/7) to support the people and business of Accenture.Key Responsibilities: Security Management:

Coordinate Security activities across all countries within the region and ensure communication is cascaded to each country and back up to the global team.

Manage or direct the work of other Security team members.

Foster security culture and awareness.

Lead local communication efforts to successfully introduce and implement related programs.

Apply broad security risk management knowledge, understanding of policies, procedures, and frameworks to enable business operations activities.

Contribute / implement security strategy, plans, procedures, and controls.

Identify, anticipate, assess, and help resolve complex business challenges where collaboration and cooperation between individuals is often needed to affect the solution.

Conduct/support security surveys, internal and external audits & reviews.

Cultivate, build engagement/relationship with internal and external stakeholders including vendors, industry organizations, law enforcement and other related government agencies.

Establish near term goals and provide input to longer term goals within area of responsibility; contribute to long-term planning.

Maintain awareness of relevant country regulations and decisions.

Corporate and Client Security Standards:

Understand and implement Accenture’s corporate security standards.

Work closely with project leads and other corporate functions lead to operationalize the global/local responses.

Collaborate with local stakeholders (e.g., Workplace Solutions, Legal, HR) to ensure all security responsibilities are known and followed.

Work with the Business to ensure their security needs are met and the businesses properly adhere to standards and processes.

Collaborate with business resiliency leadership and teams within Workplace, Legal and the Business.

Seek and maintain geographic stakeholder and leadership support for related programs.

Define and deploy security standards.

Drive global programs which recognize Accenture’s commitment to clients.

Crisis Management, Risk Intelligence, Event Monitoring, and Employee Notification:

As SME (crisis management) serve as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Deal with difficult and sensitive situations appropriately and confidentially.

Oversee information gathering to identify and assess any business impact.

Manage incident notification and security assessments by vendors to ensure the timely receipt of information and analysis on events which could impact Accenture’s facilities, people, or operations.

Oversee the dissemination of such information to Accenture leadership and coordinate any messaging to employees.

Lead multi-regional crisis management meetings.

Personal Security:

Active member of Behavioral Threat Assessment Team (BTAT).

Support employees/contractors/clients affected by internal/external safety-security incidents.

Conduct threat assessments to include domestic and international operations and disseminate findings as needed.

Support security awareness training, country risk profiles, hotel-residential security, movement security, office security, and travel security.

Oversee the provision of special security arrangements for a variety of events.

Support executive protection and event security management; coordinate physical on-site security, medical and local law enforcement support to select meetings accordingly.

Manage/oversee vendors.

General:

Liaise with other similar businesses in the community to understand local best practices and challenges. Participate in organizations such as ASIS and OSAC.

Identify opportunities for program and standards improvements and work with the global team to develop and implement solutions and outcomes.

Develop and manage local vendor relationships as needed.

Relationships:

Reports to: Director, Global Regional Protective Services, Global Assistance and Protection

Supervises: Regional Protective Services Senior Managers in North America and Latin America.

External Relationships: External security vendors, domestic and foreign law enforcement and diplomatic and intelligence services, security industry peer networks and organizations.

Job Requirements:

Available on call (24/7) to support the people and business of Accenture

Ability to travel 50% of time

Ability to work outside normal business hours including nights, weekends, or holidays; and at short notice

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years of security experience with at least 10 years in a management position

Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Skills:

Government service/international experience are a plus

Industry recognized local and international professional security certifications are a plus

Nimble, highly responsive, able to pivot quickly between projects and priorities and to meet time-sensitive deadlines
