Our global client is looking for a contract Network Operations Engineer who is well versed in ServiceNow use and reporting.

ROLE SPECIFICS: The contract resource should be well versed in ServiceNow use and reporting Should have good networking knowledge and be able to hit the ground running without much training or handholding in VLAN, IPAM, CMDB, LAN and WAN technical areas Mange workload capacity by offloading Network Level 3 Engineering team's daily recurring and procedural activities Backfill L3 resource during Paternity leave period Offload recurring tasks and assignments from L3 Engineers to have them focus more on higher priority operations activities Planning and execution of Network device OS code and patch upgrades as per established process and procedures (NALA Region) Management and implementation of CMDB CI update request in ServiceNow Implement fulfillment RITM tickets for VLAN, IPAM, HW procurement etc. Employs network production monitoring tools to effectively perform above mentioned duties and activities Ensures effective communication to internal customers.

EDUCATION: College Degree: BSC preferred

CERTIFICATIONS: Network +, CCNA

REQUIREMENTS / EXPERIENCE: Qualified candidates should have 3+ years of network experience, working across range of telecommunication technologies and services including LAN, Wireless, ServiceNow, IP Address Management, and Firewalls The candidates must also have some project management skills Ability to provide customer-facing support in a professional manner Competent in using Microsoft Office suite for effective collaboration and communications Competent in ServiceNow and/or PowerBI Practical knowledge and experience of Python or Knime is plus Documentation skills Process, How-To technical procedures, Templates Strong analytical skills, able to leverage complex data to identify opportunities, recognize problems, and draw logical conclusions Strong customer service skills Good temperament, ability to manage stressful situations
