Northeast Regional Director of Clinical Counseling Services: This is a salaried, regional position covering the Northeast markets along with other rural areas in Eastern Ohio.:: This position requires an Ohio LCSW licensure.: Introduction: EncompassCare believes each employee makes a significant contribution to the quality of life of our residents and the success of the organization. Position Summary: Responsible for assisting with overall management of both the clinical and administrative aspects of Clinical Counseling Services for an assigned region. Provides structured face-to-face client based counseling services as well as providing leadership in line with our mission and values. Responsibilities and Commitments: Because EncompassCare exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care. Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one’s feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift repetitively a minimum of 10 pounds up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others. Leadership ability to take action and achieve results through others. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language. Ensures a safe environment and utilizes tools and equipment in a safe manner complying with all infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional. Reports all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries, and equipment to supervisor/appropriate personnel immediately. Responds to and acts appropriately in emergency or disaster situations. Adheres to all policies of the company, including job description, certification requirements, mission statement, HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and resident rights. Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in carrying out assignments. Communicates effectively and professionally while maintaining patient confidentiality when corresponding with patients, patients’ family, and other healthcare professionals. Performs and conducts work responsibilities and interactions in an honest, ethical, and cooperative manner using effective judgment and decision making. Essential Functions: Assists with providing clinical supervision to the Clinical Counseling team Assists Director with organization, development, and evaluation of the program as needed. This may include development and monitoring of performance evaluations and improvement plans as necessary or directed. Aids the Director in implementation and continuation of compliance and quality measures. Assists Director with expansion efforts for the Clinical Counseling team as assigned, both in geography and product lines. Receives referrals and processes case assignments. Facilitates team meetings and provides clear and timely communication with direct care staff. Provides individual and group therapy in partner facilities based on client needs as identified on the client Individualized Treatment Plan. Conducts intake/diagnostic assessments/updates for clients. Maintains billing, clinical records, reports, and other documentation according to EncompassCare standards. May help approve staff time worked and time off as needed. Assists Director with completion of each staff person’s performance and staff development goals and needs. Provides on-site supervisory coverage for the Clinical Counseling team as required. Assists with crisis intervention and assessment as needed. Maintains direct service productivity as assigned by Director for this position and ensures entire team does as well. Consults and collaborates with other staff as requested by Director. Carries out policies and procedures of EncompassCare. Attends meetings and performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Must be licensed as an LCSW in Ohio. Demonstrates solid therapeutic counseling skills and has well-developed working knowledge of behavioral theories. Demonstrated history of effectively providing individual, family, and group therapy. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with staff and all EncompassCare customers. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate solid planning, evaluating, and problem solving skills. Professional approach to all functions and relationships with all levels of staff and clients. Abides by EncompassCare values. Strives to continuously improve own and agency operation.
