Engineering Test Lab Technician

OverviewThe primary purpose of this position is to support Engineering by performing product testing on new and existing products.Responsibilities

Perform visual, dimensional, and/or functional testing of products, components, tooling, fixtures, and equipment per written testing protocols, testing requests, specifications, or equipment procedures.- Report test data in the form of a written summary, charts, graphs, or other data analysis.- Research and interpret testing standards, as applicable.- Maintain permanent records and databases of testing performed for historical reference.- Purchase new equipment as necessary.- Perform other duties as required.

Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements- Maintain regular and punctual attendance- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards- Must have effective oral and written communication skills- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

QualificationsMinimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.- Ability to read/write/understand written instructions; test protocols and test results.- 2 year Associates degree in a Technical field or equivalent work experience, preferred.- Good mechanical skills.

Minimum 6 months experience in a regulated production environment

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.- Complaint evaluation work requires protective glasses and gloves when working with biologically contaminated returned products.- Work is performed in a laboratory environment.
