A young couple's playful beach walk turns nightmarish when a washed-up octopus becomes the

catalyst for something unspeakable lurking beneath the pier. One moment he's there—the next,

only blood, claw marks, and a phone still recording remain. She's alone now. And something is

rising from the water.

This teaser lives and dies on the chemistry and authenticity of our two leads. We need actors who

can sell the romance, the humor, and the horror—all in a single breath.

THE GUY

Charming. A little reckless. The kind of guy who picks up something disgusting just to watch his

girlfriend squirm—and loves every second of it. Playful energy that masks a deeper warmth. Must

shift convincingly from lighthearted to scared in an instant.

Requirements:

Comfortable with physical work: running on sand, a controlled fall

Will handle a practical octopus prop (yes, it's gross—that's the point)

Strong reactive performance—this role demands believable fear

Must be local to Wilmington, NC

THE GIRL

Age: 20–25 | Gender: Female | Ethnicity: Open

Quick-witted, expressive, emotionally grounded. She's the heart of this piece—her reactions

anchor every beat from flirtation to full-blown horror. We need someone who can banter naturally,

then pivot to visceral terror without missing a step.

Requirements:

Strong physical performance: running, slipping, falling on sand

Comfort with simulated blood and practical horror FX

A great scream—this is non-negotiable
