Marine Mechanic

Bald Head Island Limited, LLC/ Bald Head Island Transportation, Inc is looking for a Regular Full-Time with benefits Marine Mechanic.

Under general supervision, performs work in repairing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment on passenger ferries, and tug. Reports to the Maintenance Director.

Graduation from a high school or equivalent, supplemented by vocational training in motor repair, diesel engines or related area and two years of mechanical repair experience in a marine environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience to provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.

Possession of a valid North Carolina driver's license.

Requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
