Plant Nursery Associate/Attendant - Chatham Tree Farm

Chatham Tree Farm is seeking an assistant nursery associate with woody plant knowledge to assist with sales and various tasks on our tree farm. We are a wholesale only container nursery located in Siler City, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with placing and picking up orders. You will also be required to assist in growing and maintaining nursery plant material.

Assistant Nursery Associate/Attendant Responsibilities:

-Work under the supervision of the Nursery Manager to help with tasks around the farm

-Respond to customer inquiries by both phone and email

-Assist customers in placing and picking up orders

-Help with maintaining nursery material-such as potting/transplanting plants, weeding/pruning plants, maintaining stock beds, and assisting with watering

Assistant Nursery Associate/Attendant Requirements:

-Some experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a similar field.

-Knowledge of woody plant material

-Excellent communication and customer service skills.

-Professional and friendly demeanor.

-Some basic computer and spreadsheet experience

-Bilingual is not required, but preferred

-NC Pesticide License is a plus but not required

Competitive Salary: $18-20/hr DOE
