Disaster Recovery Catering Managers

Shirey Enterprise Group (SEG) is a national leader in staffing and operational leadership for power restoration and other emergency events. During large scale power outages (usually caused by hurricanes and other large storms) we provide on-site catering operations to feed restoration crews, first responders and other people in the area who are helping with the recovery effort. We are currently seeking qualified candidates who can be managers in our catering efforts. Our catering sites feed up to 2000 people per day. Shifts are generally 16 hours each overlapping day and night. We usually have 3-5 days notice prior to a deployment - so flexibility of schedule is a must.

This is not a full time job opportunity, nor is there any guarantee of work - as we go when and where our clients need us. That being said, this is a great opportunity to assist communities in need while earning some money.

Training Opportunity - Thursday, May 2nd

In our preparations for the upcoming Atlantic Hurricane season we are partnering with our primary client, "RLI" to host an on-site training on Thursday May 2nd at one of their equipment yards in Sanford, NC. The training will cover, food safety, equipment set up, RLI and client standards, and expectations.

The qualified candidate will have the following:

Minimum 7 Years in the Restaurant/Catering Industry

Minimum 2 Years in a leadership role.

Food Safety Certification

Willingness to leave home for a minimum of 10 days at a time

Great People Management Skills

Ability to work in adverse conditions

Stellar Attitude

Willingness to work on building a team of other deployment contractors

Willingness to stay in a basecamp during the deployment
