Senior Accountant

Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced, bilingual Accountant, with extensive background in accounts payable, who is fluent in Spanish and English, to join our client’s team.Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of accounts payable operations such as coding invoices, setting up new vendors, vendor invoice disputes, and ensuring the company adheres to its payments' schedules. Document consistency between source system and financial systems while assisting in the on-boarding, training, supervision, and evaluation of junior staff. Review, track, and reconcile expense reports and credit card charges. Assist in the accomplishment of tasks related to month-end closing, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts. Generate, maintain, and analyze financial reports regularly to ensure accuracy. Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and expense details. Liaise with external auditors while providing necessary data and documentation. Prepare tax reports, forecasts and financial statements to aid managers in decision-making. Communicate with Spanish-speaking clients and authorities, translating documents when necessary Work closely with the finance department to improve financial processes and ensure all financial documentation is accurate.For immediate consideration please contact, Ron Davis at 919-787-8226Requirements Must be Fluent in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting with a strong focus on accounts payable. Strong understanding of GAAP. Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software (Sage is a plus) and MS Office.
