Piper Companies has an exciting Principal Software Engineer opportunity available with a premier global cloud provider. The Principal Software Engineer will join a talented team of engineers building their next-generation cloud billing platform. The Principal Software Engineer will be well versed in architecting highly scalable and resilient Software systems. This opportunity is local to Raleigh, NC and candidates must be willing to work a flexible hybrid in-office schedule.

Responsibilities: Principal Software Engineer/Architect

Own complex challenges across dependent services while fostering cross-functional communications to drive project objectives.
Serve as the technical Subject Matter Expert for architectural guidance as it pertains to the billing platform
Research and introduce new technologies and architectures while following established enterprise architecture standards
Assist in the training and development of other team members

Requirements: Principal Software Engineer/Architect

At least 8 years of software development experience
Experience with data structures and algorithms
At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
Experience designing cloud-based systems
Architectural experience with high availability, low latency processing systems.
Enterprise cloud-based Java development experience is highly preferred
Experience with serverless design in Google Cloud is highly preferred
Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant work experience

Compensation: Principal Software Engineer/Architect

Base Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 (Please don't hesitate to apply if you require a higher base salary)
Bonus: 25%
