Piper Companies is currently seeking a Software Development Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Durham, North Carolina (NC). The Software Development Engineer will be working to drive the growth of a big data biochemistry organization.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Java Developer:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable client facing software working
  • Manage deliverables and enjoy collaboration on issues ranging from scalability, design, release framework
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of team members and stakeholders, which may include customers

Qualifications of the Sr. Java Developer:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related STEM technical field or equivalent practical experience

• 2-5 years of software development experience including a proven history of commercially successful delivery

• Expertise with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: C#/.NET, Java, or Python

• Must have an up to date GitHub or be willing to take a development test

Compensation for the Sr. Java Developer:
  • Salary Range: $120K - $125K + a comprehensive benefit plan
