Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Durham, NC or Merrimack, NH (Initially remote till pandemic)

Duration: 6+ Months (long-term)

The Team:
  • The Authorization Services team develops and maintains webservices that provide authorization capabilities for Client’s websites. The authorization services are highly robust and secure, and process millions of transactions a day with no downtime. This role would specifically involve migrating some of these authorization services to AWS/AZURE providers.

The Expertise You Have:
  • B.S.in Computer Science preferred, Engineering / Mathematics or comparable
  • Experience building and deploying cloud enabled applications using 12 factor design.
  • Hands on experience with automation & pipeline implementation (Testing, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline)

The Skills You Bring:
  • You have experience and feel confident working in an agile environment (Scrum and Kanban)
  • Experience working on various projects to manage a complex Web Infrastructure.
  • Strong Linux/RHEL background, knowledge of C/C and GCC compiler
  • Good experience working with cloud managed technologies in AWS or Azure (EC2, S3, Route53, ELB, ECS etc
  • Experience working with Proxies and Load Balancers (Envoy or NGINX)
  • Working knowledge of Build & Deploy Tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT/Stash, Artifactory)
  • Proficient with Shell scripting using ksh, bash and PERL
  • Experience on DevOps essential tools like Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc
  • Experience in creating Docker images and containers
  • Good understanding of OSIModel, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, and TFTP)
  • You possess systems engineering skills and experience developing maintainable, scalable multi-tiered applications
  • You are a strategic thinker, bring your curiosity and excitement; desire to collaborate and work closely in a paired programming environment; be energized by fast, iterative and extreme programming practices
  • Enjoy communicating and learning the business behind the application.
