About the Job: A Software Engineer AI/Automation develops the AI/Automation workflow solutions that meets the business requirements. This role focuses on analyzing, documenting the technical design documents aligning with the requirements focus on automations across Pearson Business Units and any other automation initiatives like conversation AI. This role reports to the Automation Center of Excellence Manager.Key Skills & Experience:
Responsible for analyzing, documenting, and communicating requirements and specifications to the development teams.
Performing feasibility study by providing technical inputs during the design phase.
Designing RPA solutions by creating solution design documents (SDD) based on process definition document (PDD).
Able to contribute in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment with guidance, and eager to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
Work closely with teams to help develop quality solutions, supporting continuous integration and helping to ensure smooth, error-free deployments that meet customer needs.
Hands-on experience with Excel Macros, VBA, Outlook, databases, Python, JavaScript, and some exposure to programming languages.
Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps practices, along with basic knowledge of tools supporting RPA solutions like BitBucket and JFrog.
Collaborate with platform business analysts to understand data standards, definitions, checklists, guidelines for automation needs.
Assist in the production deployment process and post-launch support to maintain smooth operation of the solution.
Excellent problem solving, leadership and multi-tasking skills
Knowledge in Intelligent Automation tools (MS Power Automate, UiPath, BluePrism) is nice to have
Skills & Experience:
Experience as a Software engineer in Python, UI technologies, Java Script, SQL
Proven record of driving medium to high complex technology solutions for business requirements
Degree in related field of study (Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar discipline)
Demonstrated ability to translate and transform business requirement rules, Process Definition Document into Technical Solution Design Documents.
Highly effective communicator with written, oral, and interpersonal skills
Expertise with MS Office Tools
