Survey Field Crew Leader/Survey Assistant/Draftsperson
North Carolina, Charlotte, 28201 Charlotte USAWe are a local surveying firm looking for a motivated field crew leader and entry level field crew assistant to work outdoors while providing boundary and topographic surveys, as-built surveys, ALTA surveys and construction staking. Draftsperson position will be primarily in an office environment and responsible for generating and completing land surveying drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. Our services cover a broad range of opportunities including: commercial, industrial, municipal and residential projects.
Survey Crew Leader Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a crew leader
Boundary/Topographic Survey experience
ALTA/As-Built Survey experience
Construction Survey experience
Good communication skills with staff and clients
Ability to read plans & take field notes
Work safely while on project sites
Survey Assistant tasks include, but is not limited to the following:
Carrying field equipment & supplies
Line clearing
Flagging and driving wood stakes
Setup field equipment
Note taking
Lifting up to 50lbs.
Work safely while on project sites
Ability to communicate with supervisors and field crew leaders
Draftsperson tasks include, but is not limited to the following:
County GIS and Deed Research
Drafting for both proposed and existing developments/properties
Create Surfaces for Topographic Surveys
Construction Layout Worksheets
Work safely while in the office and on project sites
Ability to communicate with supervisors and field crews
Qualified individuals must be available to work Monday thru Friday as a full time employee in our Statesville, NC Office. A valid driver’s license and drug screening is required.
