This position works cross-functionally to determine ways to optimize service levels, improve supply chain efficiency and minimize costs.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:· Plans, organizes and executes Logistics activities and projects while ensuring assigned target dates are met.· Participates in the assessment and review of project design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.· Strong participation in team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking project assignments, while providing the appropriate guidance to cross-functional team members.· Performs daily audits and maintains manifest tables within the AS/400 system to ensure optimized routing and order fulfillment.· Identifies and solves problems by designing and implementing systematic solutions.· Creates or revises standard operating procedures for logistics processes.· Evaluates costs and identifies any potential improvement opportunities associated with expanding MSC’s Ground service territory network through the use of existing programs.· Generates monthly reporting regarding UPS shipments and provides ongoing analysis.· Performs a quarterly profitability analysis of existing programs.· Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.· Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIESTo perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 10% of the time are required.
This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
Compensation starting at $56,280.00 -$80,400.00 depending on experience.The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
