Finance Analyst - Small and Business Banking
North Carolina, Charlotte, 28201 Charlotte USAAbout this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Analyst to support Small and Business Banking (SBB). The individual will be responsible for providing strategic financial support for SB Underwriting and Product Lending teams, liaising with Operations to ensure seamless integration of financial insights and creating transparency into product costs and profitability. This role will focus on direct and indirect expense analysis across the SB Segment and the development of strategies to guide decision-making and optimized performance.This teammate will partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide insights into business performance through reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis. The candidate for this role should be able to drive direction and solve problems by taking end-to-end responsibility and initiative to identify areas with opportunity for improvement, engaging individuals from cross-functional teams, understanding root causes, generating new ideas, and tracking progress toward goals.In this role, you will:
Drive financial reporting, forecasting and analysis for the SB Underwriting and Product Lending organizations
Develop and deliver insights into product costs and profitability to enhance transparency and support strategic planning
Analyze and track expenses, including indirect expenses, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings
Liaise with Operations to understand cost drivers and ensure alignment between financial strategies and operational practices
Prepare and present executive-level presentations to advise leadership on views and issues with high impact on the success of the Small Business delivery channels
Proactively partner with teams outside of SBB such as other channel & product Finance/LOB teams, HR, and Controllers to ensure connectivity and integration
Maintain a process improvement mindset with a focus on automating/streamlining processes, introducing new ideas and challenging the status quo where appropriate
Partner effectively across the SBB Finance team as areas directly supported are integrated with product and FP&A teams
Develop expertise on reporting that meets brand and internal control standards
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications, US:
2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior leaders
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
P&L financial management and forecasting experience
Understanding of expenses and cost allocations process
Experience with Essbase and Microsoft Office
Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
Demonstrated experience fostering strong partnerships, promoting teamwork, and influencing others
Ability to prepare management level presentations
