Position Number: 001707Department: Coll of Computing&Informatics (Col)Employment Type: Permanent - Full-timeMonths Per Year: 12Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Business Services Coordinator manages a variety of tasks and processes for School of Data Science:

Financial management: reconciliation of different types of funds, data entry into the department shadow database, spending projection, expenditures tracking, event revenue deposits and budget revisions.

Purchasing: use 49ermart to process orders, vendor requests, contracts, waiver of competition.

Travel: learn how to use Concur system to assist with travel and Pcard processing.

Hiring: responsible for part-time faculty hiring and reappointment and contracts for all Teaching Assistant (TAs), Instructional Assistants (IAs) and other hiring.

Assists and provides guidance to department on the financial issues.

Other duties as assigned by College Business Officer or Director of SDS .

Minimum Experience / Education: Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.University Preferred Qualifications:Four year degree in a related business function and two or more years of experience in accounts reconciliation, business processing, office management, or human resources; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.Preferred Education Skills and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in business administration or a related field.

Prior experience working in higher education (minimum 3 years) preferred.

Finance or accounting experience needed.

Experience preparing, analyzing, and revising detailed budgets.

Experience working with Banner, 49erMart, and NinerWorks preferred.

Experience and familiar with hiring process and HR (NinerTalent) system preferred.

Experience with Microsoft and Google suite needed.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.

Critical thinking skills and decision-making.

Strong attention to detail needed.
