Our people make Honeywell a special company and are a key competitive advantage. A position has opened up in Honeywell PMT for an ambitious Software Engineer - Electrical Testing. This is a full-time position responsible for the development, test, support and maintenance of custom software applications utilized in utility metering manufacturing. Experience with automation of production processes and with developing solutions for seamless integration of customer specifications is desired. Job Responsibilities:

Develop software and hardware for testing for electrical meter devices.

Analyzing factory orders to ensure the accuracy of products being delivered.

Utilize SQL database development (create schemas, stored procedures).

Utilize basic electrical testing and troubleshooting skills.

Utilize MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) concepts.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree

5 years' experience in application development using Visual Basic, C# and .NET frameworks

Experience with SQL database management (Microsoft SQL Management Studio)

Experience with Visual Basic 6.0 (for maintaining legacy applications)

Ability to test applications and processes to verify correctness before deployment to factory environment

Interact with Product Development teams to gather requirements for test applications

Ability to work with third parties to integrate their technology into existing Honeywell products

Experience with wired and wireless networking

WE VALUE:

Bachelor’s degree in software or electrical engineering

Experience with languages such as Python and C

Experience with testing cellular modems

Preferred candidate would also have C or C# experience, as well as some understanding of electrical power devices (metering).
