Summary: The main function of a business systems analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. Job Responsibilities: Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers. Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs. Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time. Basic knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models. Basic knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. 0-2 years experience required.

Review system requirements and technical documentation from the vendor Express Scripts
Create or update our internal systems documentation with specifications and technical details in order to develop processes in support of the project requirements, including the requirements agreed to with the vendor Express Scripts.
Participate in virtual meetings with the vendor to discuss requirements and progress of the project
Communicate with internal IT staff to ensure solid understanding of the processes being built and/or configured, as well as to track progress of the effort.
Ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is obtained in order to be able to deploy process components.

Describe the performance expectations/metrics for this individual and their team:

Active, effective communication with the vendor Express Scripts and internal IT staff
Documentation written by individual is thorough, free of defects, correctly reflects ours and/or the vendor's business requirements, and is language/terms suitable/understandable by the target audience.
Project milestones dates and deadlines are met
User acceptance testing is thorough, properly documented, and ensures defective processes do not get released.
Attends meetings, and timely responds to e-mails and other forms of communication.
