Job Description Summary

Production Operations Specialist acts as a first point of contact for users as it relates to requests for or a failure of a service; as well as being responsible for maintaining the stability for a portfolio of applications. A technical role that works closely with users and other tech teams to identify, troubleshoot, resolve issues and document or modify knowledge. Role may perform initial investigation, proactively identify and research incidents, quickly mitigates impact whenever possible through established routines, participates in triages, respond to requests from users. This role may be responsible for providing end to end management of application access services. The role follows well-defined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and may propose changes to monitoring, alerting and configuration to improve the service levels and works closely with respective subject matter experts.

Job Description

The requested resource will work with various Line of Businesses of CSWE TI and manage Online Banking/Mobile Lower Level (primarily UNIX) environments. The responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the environments by minimizing defects in an agile manner, deploying business and infrastructure software across both Lower Level and PROD environments for releases, and implementing configurations and manual software changes. Multiple testing environments and servers and releases must be supported in parallel. Working one weekend shift a month is mandatory to support release efforts as well as participating in the weekly on-call rotation.

Primary SkillOnline and Mobile Banking

Mandatory skill set:

• Strong Unix background

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Communication, Information Technology with at least 5 years experience in the field

• Proven leadership skills with record of excellent workmanship, dedication, and ownership

• LEADS BY EXAMPLE, others look to you for expertise

• PROACTIVE TEAM MEMBER with a history of leading, implementing and documenting process improvements who can step up and lead triage and customer support events who can think independently, be proactive and take initiative from little or no requirements

• SELF-STARTER with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

• The ability to COMMUNICATE CLEARLY and effectively (Verbally and Written) with the business and teammates

Additionally:

• Software Delivery using an automated toolset such as Ansible Tower, UrbanCode Deploy, etc. (Minimum 4 years of experience)

• UNIX/Linux Operating System and Infrastructure: SAN, NAS, filesystems, debugging server and service issues in single and multi-tier system and application architectures, system commands such as cd/tail/top/ls/vi/ssh/ps/telnet, etc., and so on (Minimum 5 years of experience)

• Hands-on knowledge of UNIX Shell, Perl, Python, and similar scripting language (Minimum 5 years of experience)

• Continuous Integration & Deployment knowledge and hands on skill involving any or all of Jenkins, Maven/Ant, JFrog Artifactory, TFS/BitBucket, and similar CI/CD technologies

• Agile Software Delivery

• Extensive WebSphere troubleshooting in Linux, networking and following applications from login to activation (Minimum 5 years experience)

• Working experience on UNIX Application Environments: WebSphere, Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.

• Experience with web application communication protocols - SOAP, HTTP, XML, etc.

• Understanding of web application architecture

• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze enterprise java applications end to end flow

• Good Database experience - Comfortable using/writing SQL queries

• Exposure with troubleshooting issues related to Routers/dns/vip/wip/firewall/ports/ltm/gtm, etc.

• Basic knowledge on MQ's
