Find your place in risk and analytics on #TeamAmex.Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.The Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team is part of the American Express Data Office, our global data center of excellence responsible for realizing the potential of our data. EDG provides the principles, policies, processes, architecture, and governance to enable consistent, trusted, and usable data to drive accurate data-driven business outcomes.The Senior Manager Data Governance and Policy will be responsible for supporting the changes to and maintenance of the Data Governance Policy and Standards, and other key instructive and interpretive documentation that enables the organization to manage data as a critical corporate asset.Primary Responsibilities:

Supporting the maintenance, implementation and continual updating of the Enterprise Data Governance Policy, Standards and associated documentation.

Assist in the development of methodologies and documentation to support effective challenge of data governance policy requirements.

Collaborating with key stakeholders including EDG and the Federated Data Offices teams to ensure strategic alignment on policy requirements.

Providing support in training, communications, and change management related to Data Governance across the Enterprise.

Providing support for regulatory exams and continuous monitoring over the program.

Supporting the integration of Policy and Procedures into key processes across the Enterprise.

Collaborating across cross-functional stakeholders to build a comprehensive project roadmap which sets the overall strategic direction for the initiatives as well as execution details and timelines.

Supporting creation of materials for regular updates to senior level stakeholders.

Qualification Requirements:

A strong strategic approach with 5 years prior experience developing, implementing, and updating policies and standards.

Prior experience developing and implementing data governance and management practices regarding data governance.

Strong knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment including BCBS-239, Dodd-Frank Act, other relevant regulations.

Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make decisions with less than perfect information.

Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.

High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal accountability and resiliency; and

A track record of leading and encouraging large teams through sophisticated initiatives.

QualificationsSalary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
