Field Experience in construction or environmental sampling setting
A general knowledge of the construction industry
Storm water Pollution Prevention Plan preparation
Development of Corrective Actions and Findings
Ability to read Erosion and Sediment Control and Site Grading plans
Problem solving for a wide variety of clients and situations
Ability to learn and apply new regulatory requirements
NYSDEC 4-Hour Erosion & Sediment Control Training Certification
Field based position in all weather and all season
Current training in: work-zone safety & minimum of 10-hour OSHA construction safety.
Qualified professionals will also have:Ability to communicate with colleagues and clients of all levels
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to provide inspection reports in a timely manor
Reliable means of transportation
Willingness to obtain additional certifications
Works well with a team and individually
Familiarity with construction industry codes
High School diploma or equivalent
AbilityPossess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material and variation in elevation (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.)
Ability to wear standard PPE, (i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles)
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
