Geothermal HVAC Technician, experienced or entry level

We're seeking to recruit and develop geothermal heating & cooling technicians in the

Finger Lakes Region as lead installers or apprentices (depending on experience and skills)

to our team.

If you have mechanical skills and a willingness to learn, we want to talk to you. Even if

you’ve never cut pipe or wired an electrical circuit, if you have mechanical aptitude, we can

teach you… how to measure and cut pipe, appropriately size wire and work with live

circuits safely, identify all required materials, and mount and install a variety of devices.

Piping and wiring are the bulk of what we do, along with some carpentry and sheet metal

work.

Job responsibilities include installing – mounting, wiring, and piping – devices, integrating

them into a functioning system, and testing:

 Heat pumps

 Ground heat exchangers, aka “geothermal loops”

 Ducted and ductless air handlers

 Hydronic baseboard

 Radiant floor heating systems

 Radiators and fan convectors

New York State is committed to electrifying heating of all buildings in the state by

replacing fossil fuel burning devices and systems with heat pumps. That monumental goal

will require recruiting and training several hundred heat pump technicians over the next

decade.

Lake Country Geothermal, founded in 2016 and based in Walworth, specializes in design,

installation, and service of geothermal heating & cooling systems and hydronic

distribution systems for homes and small businesses throughout the Finger Lakes Region.

In 2024, we intend to expand our geographic market well beyond FLR and our product
