Warehouse selector/picker wanted for a night shift position

We are looking for an experienced picker for the night shift for our food distribution business in Mount Vernon NY.

This is a great position to learn about our business and eventually progress by taking more responsibility within our organization.

This is a full-time position from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00pm to 5:30am.

(No work on Friday, Saturday and most of the day on Sunday)

Some overtime may be available.

The following are requirements for this full-time position:

Experience in picking and packing products in a warehouse.

Ability physically handle boxes.

Ideally previous experience in a food distribution warehouse.

Own vehicle to come to work. (Unfortunately public Transportation won’t work due to the late hours)

Some of the tasks related to this position are:

1) Pick and pack products for customers’ orders.

2) Help to load the truck. (Forklift and electric pallet jacks available)

3) Ability to use scanners during the picking process.

Spanish speaking is a plus for this position.

Some flexibility is expected for this position and the ability to work overtime when needed.

Salary is $18/hour for unexperienced workers and $20/hour as soon as the employee can do the job independently and productively. You can make $20 an hour as soon as you can do it right.

We offer salary plus, annual bonus, 3 weeks paid time off after 2nd year, 401K program, 75% of health insurance paid after 60 days of employment and fully paid life insurance policy on New York Life.
