Are you an experienced and reliable individual with a passion for helping people in distress? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Tow Truck Driver. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and safe towing services to our customers. Your responsibilities will include responding to service requests, safely loading and transporting vehicles, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Towing Operations: Safely and efficiently tow vehicles, following all safety guidelines and protocols. This may include cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other types of vehicles.
Roadside Assistance: Provide roadside assistance services such as jump-starts, tire changes, and lockout services as required.
Customer Service: Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their concerns and providing assistance in a friendly and empathetic manner.
Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre- and post-tow inspections of vehicles to ensure they are secure and undamaged during transport.
Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on tow trucks, including routine checks and inspections to ensure they are in good working condition.
Paperwork: Complete accurate and detailed paperwork, including invoices, receipts, and incident reports, as required by company policies and regulations.
Navigation: Use GPS and maps to determine the most efficient routes to reach service locations and towing destinations.
Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and towing industry standards to ensure safety and legality.
Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties, including responding to emergency towing situations, accidents, and impound requests as necessary.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized tow truck and work area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and secured.
Qualifications:
Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL) may be required in some states.
Previous towing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service skills with a polite and professional demeanor.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Knowledge of local roads and geography is a plus.
Willingness to undergo drug testing and background checks as required.
