Role Description

This is a seasonal on-site role for an experienced Carpenter at Shop Cat LLC in Brooklyn, NY. The Carpenter will be responsible for general carpentry, using power and hand tools, framing, and finishing. The role involves bringing ideas to life through skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail.

We are presently looking for a lead carpenter as well, this role will include the folloing qualifications as well as a history of managing teams and projects. Experience in building sets, fabrication for windows, and install/strike are extremely useful.

Qualifications

Carpentry and Finish Carpentry skills

Proficiency in working with Power and Hand Tools

Must be comfortable using table, track, and circular saws

Experience in Framing

Ability to read and interpret plans and schematics

Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship

Physical strength and stamina for manual labor

Excellent problem-solving skills
