A high end restaurant in Hudson Yards is seeking a Restaurant handyman

Compensation: $28-$30/hour (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Restaurant Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance and repair, with the ability to self-manage projects from start to finish. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our restaurant operates smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine and emergency repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC maintenance.

- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.

- Collaborate with restaurant management to understand maintenance priorities and address issues promptly.

- Maintain an organized and safe work environment, including proper use and storage of tools and materials.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a restaurant or commercial setting.

- Strong ability to self-manage and complete projects independently.

- Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work during non-standard hours if needed.
