Urban Gardener/ Driver

Part time Urban Gardener position:

Root & Vine Gardens, a boutique garden design, installation & maintenance company, is looking for a part time urban gardener. Our yard is in Astoria Queens. Shifts begin and end in Astoria, Queens.

We are looking for an energetic person who enjoys working outdoors, working with plants, has a valid driver license, is comfortable driving and parking a van, and wants to be part of a team of plant and garden lovers.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience or equivalent in landscaping profession or a strong interest

Ability to lift up to 50lb.

Clean driverʼs license and ability to drive and park a van in the city

knowledge of plant material or interest in learning

Pest identification and organic pest management knowledge or interest in learning

Ability to provide a quality customer service experience to a high-end clientele

Must be organized and on-time

A good eye for design is helpful

Able to take direction and work independently as well as work with a team
