salon assistant for 3 chair studio salon

looking for a kind and respectful individual to join our small team for approximately 30 hours weekly.

we are a 3 chair studio salon where everyone works as an independent contractor.

as an assistant you will work directly with a salon owner and color specialist of nearly 20 years.

you will be involved in most aspects of daily operations including but not limited to:

- light cleaning and laundry

- shampooing clients

- applying toner and color

- blow drying and styling

- sending / responding to emails

- scheduling clients

- client checkout and merchandising

- placing and receiving color orders

education provided to you will include the ins and outs of managing a small business along with self paced color theory and styling.

applicants must have current new york state cosmetology license or presently enrolled in new york state cosmetology program - no exceptions

applicants must have evening and weekend availability
