AWS Application Architect (Application // Infrastructure / Data Architect / Security)- Remote Initial

Role: Lead AWS Security Architect Location : NYC, NJ, Dallas, Denver, SFO , OR Travel (80%) - Remote Initial Duration : Full-Time Job Description (Please provide summary of the position): Responsible for the design and architecture of innovative public cloud security solutions on an industry leading platform -AWS. As an AWS security expert you will engage with a client that is looking to adopt a new AWS cloud / hybrid environment. Working as part of an experienced team you will define and create solutions that match business needs Responsibilities:

• Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid based systems. Possess a firm understanding of the offerings within VmWare, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Based on business requirements, design and implement cloud-native architectures and designs that will allow those requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to Organization and with appropriate security controls present.
• Represents Security Platform in development and implementation of the overall global enterprise cloud architecture
• Acts as the ambassador and senior technical representative for Enterprise Security while engaging with other senior technical leaders throughout organization in design and implementation of cloud and cloud/hybrid based implementationsand solutions
• Works with Engineering, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development organizations to choose appropriate technology solutions and facilitates complete integration into the company environments. Develops standards in partnership with Engineering,Infrastructure Services, and Application Development.
• Leads initiatives designed to share knowledge across Security Platforms and/or Technology teams. Identifies, recommends, coordinates, deliver timely knowledge to support teams regarding technologies, processes or tools. Develops and executes strategies to increase Cloud Security knowledge throughout the enterprise.

• 5 years experience with Cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, VMware NSX
• Experience architecting solutions within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, VMware NSX
• Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes (secure software development (Application Security), data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security) within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly authentication mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID, etc).
• Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc) preferred.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services.
• Experience working with cloud security and governance tools, cloud access security brokers (CASBs), and server virtualization technologies.
• Experience with enterprise applications (architecture, development, support, and troubleshooting).
• Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new technologies.
• Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.
• Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment

• AWS Cloud Data Architect works in the AWS Data & Analytics practice. • Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end data solutions (storage, integration, processing,access) in AWS
• Architect and implement ETL and data movement solutions using AWS Glue
• Prepare documentation and designs for AWS data solutions and applications
• Design and implement distributed analytics platforms for analyst teams
• Design and implement high velocity streaming solutions using Amazon Kinesis, SQS, and SMS
• Migrate data from traditional relational database systems to AWS relational databases such as Amazon RDS, Aurora, and Redshift
• Implement ad-hoc analysis solutions using Athena
• Propose architectures that consider cost/spend in AWS and develop recommendations or plans to right-size AWS data infrastructure Qualifications:

• A solid understanding of AWS storage solutions such as S3, EFS, and EBS.
• A solid understanding of AWS compute solutions such as EC2, ElasticMapReduce, and instancefleets.
• 2+ years experience implementing solutions on AWS relational databases such as Amazon Redshift, RDS, and Aurora preferred.
• Experience implementing solutions leveraging AWS non-relational data solutions such as ElastiCache and DynamoDB.
• 5+ years experience designing and implementing analysis solutions on Hadoop-based platforms such as Amazon ElasticMapReduce, Cloudera Hadoop, or Hortonworks Data Platform preferred.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Big Data Certification preferred

• 15 + Years of Overall IT Experience, Must have done 1 Large Cloud implementation, Strong Data Centre and AWS Infrastructure design experience, 8+ years of Application Architecture experience on either (Java/.Net)

• Extensive experience & knowledge in Storage, compute & Network security Working in key AWS services like EC2, S3, Logging , Monitoring, Security, Networking
• Assessing client's workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and Cloud adoption roadmap
• Ability to work on AWS platform and tools
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint
• Knowledge and use of standard methodologies and market trends pertaining to Cloud and
• overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers etc.,) and mentor team to build necessary competency
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key partners in client organization.
• Experience and provisioning and spinning up AWS Clusters
• Build scalable production systems (load balancers, mem-cached, master/slave architectures)
• Possess good verbal, written and presentation skills.
