Concrete Polishing Skills Instructor

AHRC NYC is looking to hire a Full-Time Concrete Polishing Skills Instructor for their Queens Employment Business Services program.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Concrete Polishing Skills Instructor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach, mentor, and shape the future of workers in the construction and flooring industry.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing hands-on training in concrete polishing techniques, equipment usage, and safety practices. You will work with a diverse group of youth ages 16-24, with barriers to employment preparing them to enter the workforce with the skills necessary to succeed in this high-demand field.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in concrete polishing, including hands-on experience with equipment and techniques.

Minimum 2 years of experience working in the concrete or flooring industry, with a focus on polishing.

Previous teaching or training experience is preferred but not required.

OSHA 10 certified and/or trainer certification is a plus but not required.

Union experience is welcomed and appreciated, especially in teaching our participants about the benefits of union enrollment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

In-depth knowledge of concrete and flooring systems, including surface preparation, polishing, and finishing.

Certification or training in concrete polishing is a plus.
