Maintenance Building Porter

We are seeking a full-time building Maintenance Porter to join our team! You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. Position is not permanent at this time.

Responsibilities:

Keep building in clean and orderly condition; interior & exterior

Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and apartments

Perform routine maintenance/ janitorial tasks

Organize custodial closets and spaces

Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment

Snow and ice removal

Knowledge of NYC recycling laws

Qualifications:

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields

Ability to handle physical workload; lift 50+ lbs.

Strong attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Working experience with buffing/floor machines

Working experience with automatic compactor machines

Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Salary:

Pay starting at $19 per hour

8-hour shift

Looking for immediate hire. Building is located in Sheepshead Bay area; close to bus line, subway and belt parkway. Access to reliable transportation to the job is required.
