Part-Time Housekeeper Needed ASAP!

A Part-time Housekeeper is needed for a 6 story townhome, to assist the executive housekeeper with day to day responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable especially with schedule, comfortable going up and down 6 flights of stairs multiple times throughout the work day (there is no elevator in home) and MUST have experience working as a housekeeper in a private home setting!

Location: NYC (Greenwich Village)

Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays; 12:00 to 8:00pm with some future weekend/holiday availability

Compensation: $30.00 per hour + MetroCard

General Duties:

Working alongside executive housekeeper to ensure all aspects of the home are maintained and cleaned to the highest standard at all times

Tidying all rooms, including entryway, to ensure items are neatly stored and rooms look immaculate at all times

Responsible for maintaining and keeping clean recycle and garbage bins within the home, and taking out all garbage and recycling

Laundry, ironing, steaming, folding and putting away clothes

Wardrobe management

Collecting, unpacking, and putting away household deliveries, and organizing returns as needed

Running errands as directed

Greeting guests, couriers, and vendors at the door

Checking all items in the home are in good working order and reporting problems

Answering the intercom, admitting visitors, and taking messages, and ensuring all guests are always excellently looked after

Looking after the family pets (2 hypoallergenic cats & 1 dog);

Candidates Must:

Have good English skills

Legally able to work within the United States

Lives in New York City or surrounding area

Must have 2-4 years' experience working in a private home

Must be happy to be vaccinated

Must be happy to work with pets (cats & dogs)

Must be physically active

Very organized, on time, reliable, and work focused

Open to feedback and adaptable

Team-player – no job is too small
