Full & Part Time Counter Staff/Baristas

We are a neighborhood staple celebrating our 12th year in beautiful Clinton Hill, Brooklyn - where we have been faithfully serving up an extensive coffee and tea program, house-made pastries and baked goods, legendary breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, salads, prepared foods, craft beer and sodas from across the globe.

We also service a sister offshoot just a few blocks away, now going into its 7th Year in Fort Green, which is also known for its quality coffee and house-made baked goods.

We are looking for baristas/ counter staff that are willing to work 20-25 or 30-35 hours a week. This is very much a customer service/hospitality-forward position, with lots of time spent on your feet interacting with the Community. While we respect individual obligations and other commitments, we would like Pecks/Peckish to be your primary responsibility and commitment once a final schedule has been agreed upon.

-genuine, positive and approachable

-able to understand and follow directions

-have an invested interest in food service, all things delicious

-have FOH experience

-have experience making espresso drinks

-able to work weekends

The position you are applying to requires someone who will be able to:

-prioritize positive interactions with customers and co-workers

-take on duties and responsibilities independently during opening/mid/closing shifts

-understand and speak with customers about coffee, baked goods, specialty products that we provide

-multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, in which you must:

-take multiple orders at a time

-use register/POS systems to ring up sales

-maintain a cleanly and pleasing environment

-prepare drinks and serve food

-restock inventory

-keep and maintain an absolutely clean and organized workplace - following all Department of Health protocols and procedures. [Food Protection Certificate not necessary, but a strong plus]

-Again, MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS.
