Location: Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY

Pay: $18/hr

We are a brand-new fusion take-out restaurant opening in Flatbush, Brooklyn, on November 11, 2024, offering a unique menu that combines Caribbean, Soul Food, BBQ, and Italian dishes. We’re looking for a talented and reliable Cook to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience preparing either Soul Food or Caribbean dishes, with a passion for learning new styles of cooking.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of fusion dishes, focusing on Caribbean, Soul Food, BBQ, and Italian cuisine.

Bake our delicious desserts as part of daily operations.

Participate in food prep and ensure ingredients are ready for service.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.

Be a team player and help with cleaning and other tasks in the back or front of the house during downtime.

Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

Experience in cooking Soul Food or Caribbean dishes is strongly preferred.

Food handlers course certification is required.

Basic English-speaking competency is required.

A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Willingness to learn new recipes and cooking techniques.

Comfortable with baking pies and cakes.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once given a task list or clear goals.
