We are looking to add a member to our team at this small but high-volume bakery in Ridgewood, Queens, just off the Forest Ave stop.

We sell fresh loaves of bread and pastries, all baked day-of, as well as a coffee. We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities:

-at least one year of baking experience on basic bread mixes and baking (sourdough, baguette, focaccia, etc)

-ability to multi-task

-honest and clear communication

-willingness to work as a team as well as independently

-respectful and mature

The bakers job consist on mixing and baking sourdough bread, focaccia and baguette each morning, with some extra projects on the weekends like challah, brioche and tarts.We count with a pastry and a bread program and we encourage both teams to work together help and learn from each other. There's a lot of room for experimentation and openness to bring new things to the table. The starting wage will be between $18-$20 per hour depending on experience, plus tips. We are looking for someone to commit to 4 shifts a week, including at least one weekend day. Keep in mind the bread baker starts 4AM.
