Sullivan St. Bakery is seeking a skilled FOH managerto join our Team! We are a Roman-inspired bakery specializing in rustic sourdough loaves. We operate 2 retail bakery cafes in Manhattan, and have a dedicated clientele who visit us regularly for coffee, pastries, sandwiches and bread. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and coffee, and is equally as excited to learnas to teach. Our cafes operate from 7/8am to 6/7pm 7 days a week, candidates must be available weekends and holidays within those hours. You will work closely with theFloor Managers and Kitchen Managers to lead the teams of cashiers and baristas.This position has a lot of opportunities for growth as we move into our busy season and strategize the expansion of the brand. Responsibilities: The General Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the restaurant. Maintain a focus on the guests and drive sales growth with proactive hospitality Recover challenging guest interractions Maintain a clean, well merchandised, and well maintained store Order and maintain an inventory of all necessary supplies Team Management, Training and Development Develop and manage daily tasking; serve as the first line of defense in troubleshooting issues and resolve staff conflicts if they arise Maintain the staff schedule Cash management and POS maintenance Maintain DOH standards and procedures Work with the Director of Operations to implement, monitor, and fine tune clear strategic initiatives to ensure that top and bottom line targets are achieved. Be proactive in your approach to management Requirements & Qualifications: Prior experience infood and beverage customer service is required Prior management experience to include training, staffing and personnel management is also required Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Desirable bachelor’s degree in hospitality Open availability, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings is a MUST Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail. Ability to follow procedures and take directions, work as a team player. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
