FULL-TIME/PART-TIME SERVER

Gen restaurant is a neighborhood casual restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine. We have been opened for over 20+ years and are looking for a superstar server. Specifically seeking experienced full-time/part-time servers who have experience in Japanese cuisine and the busy area of Prospect Heights.

It is not necessary to speak Japanese but a huge plus!

(INTERVIEW BASED UPON EXPERIENCE)

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in the industry, unafraid to learn in an existing restaurant. Proactively seeks ways to earn the respect of their peers, demonstrate the ability to consistently perform at a high level, and always conducts business in a professional manner.

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

Ability to work as part of a team

Full knowledge of food & drink menu while being able to describe and recommend dishes to customers. Being able to explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.

Stock service areas with supplies such as tableware, drink supplies.

Perform opening/closing duties, such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning up server station, taking out trash.

Familiarity with Grubhub, DoorDash & Uber delivery orders

Familiarity with Resy

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $10.65 + Tips per hour
