Carroll Gardens Wine Shop Seeking Motivated Individual to Manage Stock

DESCRIPTION

A neighborhood wine shop is looking for a new stock employee. We focus on small-production & family-owned vineyards and carry wines the full spectrum from classic to natural production. We have a mix of staples we receive weekly as well as frequent new & rotating stock. Our stock employee must have the ability to lift cases (up to 40 lbs.) of wine repeatedly and carry them up and down stairs, as well as be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Prior experience with the wine/liquor or restaurant industry is preferred, but not necessary. We’re happy to teach you all about wine & spirits.

Requirements:

- Schedule is Tuesday – Saturday 11am-7pm, with some flexibility

- Must be able to work most holidays (we are closed Christmas Day & New Year’s Day)

- Receive daily shipments, then organize & stock storage accordingly

- Restock shelves during opening hours

- Break down empty boxes and bundle for recycling, put out recycling

- Process online orders & very occasionally ring up customers during busy times

- Occasional deliveries within walking distance

- Bi-annual inventory (January & August)
