Servers are the face of the restaurant to all of the guests in their station and set the pace and tone of the overall experience. The servers must communicate with every position in the restaurant to ensure that all levels of service work together to create the best possible experience and accomplish the intentions of the restaurant as a whole. Servers should be knowledgeable on all levels of food, beverage and service and should be able to assist and organize all positions around them. This includes making connections with guests, taking orders, running and clearing plates, service of wine and beverage, alerting the host of any changes in pace of meal so the floor can be plotted accordingly, and any and all other tasks in the restaurant.

Qualifications:

o 2+ years of experience working in high volume & fine dining

o Extensive Knowledge of Food & Beverage

o Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage.

o Excellent in guest service, and the ability to maintain professional service during peak periods

o Knowledge of food and all allergies related to food and beverage.

o Experience maintaining DOH standards above and beyond what is expected.

o Provide legible communication.

o Compute basic arithmetic.

o Must be TIPs Certified.

o Have the ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects

Responsibilities include:

o Welcome guest reading and listening to guest in order to determine food and beverage preferences, make

recommendations.

o Eye for detail along with the ability, understanding and skill to multitask many tables at once in various stages of a

dining experience.

o Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of food, cocktail and wine service.

o Check identification to ensure guest are all of the legal age to purchase alcohol.

o Accurately handle cash, credit and room charge transactions.

o Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment. Demonstrate ownership of the

guest experience.

o Follow directions thorough to completion.

o Multitask while dealing with high volume of service.

o Anticipate and understand guest’s service needs.

o Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

o Demonstrates self-motivation and work independently.

o Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

o Food & Beverage outlets and Kitchen areas

o Under variable temperature conditions.
