Amazon is looking for a customer obsessed, and motivated individual to join the Amazon Fresh Stores team.Amazon Fresh is a new grocery store designed from the ground up to offer a seamless grocery shopping experience, whether customers are shopping in store or online. We’ve also introduced new ways to make grocery shopping more convenient, for example, the new Alexa features to help customers manage their shopping lists and better navigate our aisles.We’re looking for a motivated and talented Associate Merchandising Manager with strong customer focus, analytical skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit to join the merchandising team. You will develop, execute and deliver on detailed plans and timelines, and communicate to leadership on status, risks, and process changes. You will need to thrive and deliver results in an ambiguous, and fast-paced business environment, operating across multiple teams and levels in the organization.The ideal candidate will have strong customer experience intuition, business and product sense combined with solid understanding of technical concepts. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, ability to influence, analytical talent, exceptional communications, and leadership are essential to success in this role.Key job responsibilities

Execute and maintain the planograms across multiple categories throughout the year.

Develop merchandising strategies leveraging internal and external data points such as vendor and competitive market insight to create the ideal customer experience.

Identify and implement process improvements and opportunities for innovation and simplification in planograms and merchandising processes.

Ensure planograms are dispatched to stores with no defects or shelf blocking errors.Address POG related category escalations submitted by partner teams.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external partners, while meeting tight deadlines.

Act as the ‘business owner’, possessing a thorough understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business.

Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed goals planogram and merchandising metrics.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience in Microsoft Office products and applications (esp. Excel)

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional merchandising programs, in-store/field merchandiser, and/or retail buyer (or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in e-commerce, retail or advertising

Experience creating planograms in a platform such as Blue Yonder/Catman

Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

The base pay for this position ranges from $54,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $116,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
