The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States.A current mental health professional license is required.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):Under limited supervision, support program to ensure implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Provide planning, design and implementation support to assigned program area. May assist with budget preparation and monitoring and in the recruitment of volunteers and contractors. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.The primary focus is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current and future challenges and opportunities related to the provision of Disaster Mental Health services at all disaster relief levels; identify the appropriate programmatic policies, operational guidance, and resources necessary to consistently administer these services within the constraints of the laws and regulations associated with the professional licensure of the Red Cross workforce; and develop, coordinate, and monitor the execution of programmatic strategies to ensure the continuous provision of essential health and mental health support to both Red Cross clients and disaster workforce.WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

Perform activities, including identifying recruitment resources and appropriate deployment of Disaster Health Services or Disaster Mental Health volunteers on Disaster Relief Operations as defined by jurisdictional laws or regulations.

Collect and analyze data, identify areas of risk and opportunity, provide recommendations for program improvement.

Develop strategies and tactics for identifying, tracking, and effectively deploying volunteers in jurisdictions participating in the Emergency Volunteer Health Practitioners Act and Nursing Licensure Compact.

Support the creation and implementation of training aimed at enhancing capacity and skills of the overall workforce on Disaster Relief Operations.

Support the creation action steps based on identified needs and establish conditions for hiring local support in DHS/DMH roles.

Administer and analyze processes within assigned program area, recommend revisions to improve procedures.

Support the cultivation of professional relationships with key internal & external partners/organizations.

Other Individual Support Program duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Skills & Abilities: May require the ability to obtain a government security clearance. May require fluency in second language. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Some travel required.

The salary range for this position is (CA, CO, CT, NY): $57,900.Note that the American Red Cross sets salary ranges aligned to a specific geographic location in which the work is performed. The stated salary range in this posting is an average. The specific salary information will be shared at the time of phone screening based upon your location and qualifications.Physical RequirementsPhysical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time.
