Description We are offering a position for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in the Retail - Clothes & Access industry based in New York. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day collections efforts, assisting with month-end close, and handling chargebacks. The role offers a contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Supervise day-to-day collections efforts to maintain low delinquency levels Assist with month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Manage chargebacks and resolve any related issues Monitor and manage customer credit accounts, taking appropriate actions where necessary Utilize accounting software systems to process and record transactions Employ ERP solutions to streamline and automate business processes Use Excel for data management and analysis, specifically through pivot tables and vlookups Handle billing functions and oversee cash activity within the organization Leverage skills in IBM AS/400 and Great Plains (GPAC) for specific business operations Continuously improve collection processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry, specifically clothes and accessories. Proficient in Accounting Software Systems. Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required. Experience with ERP Solutions is mandatory. Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is essential. Competence in using IBM AS/400 software. Ability to perform various Accounting Functions efficiently. Extensive experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management. Proven skills in handling Billing Functions. Experience in managing Cash Activity. Knowledge and experience in Collection Processes is crucial.
