Core Responsibilities
Plan, organize and direct all communication activities for all major internal and external customer engagement projects and programs within Gas Operations.
Provides responses to customer inquiries related to Gas Operations and develops materials for the organization's Clean Energy Commitment to ensure compliance.
Conducts and directs project planning and status meetings to ensure schedule and financial adherence to projects are being maintained and significant issues are clearly disseminated to relevant participants.
Provides writing and editing support to executives, general managers/directors as appropriate.
Acts as a liaison with regulatory and public officials during project implementation and addresses concerns associated with the project.
Coordinates messaging with Corporate Communications, Customer Energy Solutions, and Strategic Planning as appropriate.
Assists the General Manager with the coordination, preparation and reporting of significant activities on projects and programs.
Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' of full-time related work experience or
Associate's Degree and 7 years' of full-time related work experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree In English/Communications/Journalism preferred.
Relevant Work Experience
Must possess exceptional writing and editing skills. Required
Knowledge and experience in the areas of communications projects, development of written plans, and the creation of new projects. Required
Experience with internal and external customer engagement. Required
Experience in project design &/or project management. Required
Must possess superior oral, written and presentation communication skills and be able to effectively interact with customers, support staff, subordinates and various levels of management. Required
Experience in the direct supervision of management and Union employees. Preferred
Virtual communications platform experienced. Preferred
Skills & Ability
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrates excellent judgment and decision making skills
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments
Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
Licenses & Certifications
Driver's License Required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred
Physical Demands
Must sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for entire shift
Must be able to read small print and symbols.
Other Physical Demands
Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
Must be able to work in various field locations as needed.
Extensive walking and standing during field visits.
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment during field visit.
