We at LSC are seeking an accomplished Lead Project Manager with a minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in both residential and commercial construction within the vibrant landscape of New York City.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in design-build projects, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects while exceeding client expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Project Planning:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project objectives, scope, and budget.
- Assist in the selection of design and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and design-build philosophy.
- Formulate comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

2. Design Integration and Development:
- Oversee design coordination meetings to integrate various stakeholders input and maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide expert insights on constructibility, innovative design solutions, and cost-effective approaches.
- Supervise the acquisition of necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance.
3. Procurement and Contract Management:
- Lead procurement efforts to secure top-tier subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts, purchase orders, and subcontracts while ensuring contractual adherence.
- Skilfully manage change orders and variations to minimize project disruptions.
4. Construction Execution and Oversight:
- Assume responsibility for the seamless execution of daily construction activities, guaranteeing adherence to plans and specifications.
- Mentor and guide subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety compliance.
- Employ proactive project tracking to monitor progress, control costs, and meet financial objectives.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with stakeholders to disseminate updates and address concerns.
5. Quality Excellence and Safety Leadership:
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control measures, ensuring alignment with industry standards and project expectations.
- Spearhead safety initiatives by collaborating with safety personnel to develop and enforce comprehensive safety protocols.
- Undertake regular site inspections to identify and rectify potential safety hazards.
6. Managing Project Coordinators / Formen:
- Supervise and guide project coordinators and foreman to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Assign tasks, provide mentorship, and ensure coordination between project teams.
- Monitor project coordinators and foreman performance and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
7. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Foster and maintain open lines of communication with clients, providing transparent
updates, addressing queries, and managing expectations.
- Coordinate client walkthroughs and presentations to ensure alignment with the projects vision and objectives.
8. Document Control and Project Closure:
- Oversee the accurate upkeep of project documents, encompassing drawings,
specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Prepare progress reports, change order documentation, and comprehensive project
closeout reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated project management proficiency in the design-build construction realm, encompassing both residential and commercial projects in New York City.
- Profound familiarity with construction methodologies, building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Bluebeam.
- Exceptional leadership skills, communication prowess, and adeptness at building collaborative relationships.
- Proven aptitude for managing multiple intricate projects concurrently while consistently
achieving objectives within tight timelines.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, LEED, or others are considered advantageous.
- Bilingual Spanish. Utilizing bilingual skills in Spanish to facilitate effective communication
with Spanish- team members is a plus.
- Experience within residential, hospitality or music venues is a plus.
